The sun crept high into the sky, seeming to illuminate the crisp air with morning glow. The black tom scanned the clearing, as content as can be. Leaf-fall was Spiderleap's favorite season, as well as the only time he was willing to get up early. Yes, prey was harder to find, but the cool and clean feeling in the air felt lovely and energizing. The tom flicked his tail above his heels, standing by his den as if looking for something to do. He was itching to leave the camp and join a patrol party, but he knew Sandstripe had to organize one first.
Meanwhile, Spiderleap made his way to a couple of stones and boulders on the edge of the clearing to join Talontooth. "Good morning," Spiderleap mewed, sitting beside the other tom in attempt to engage smalltalk. "Are you planing to join a patrol this morning? The kill pile looks a bit disappointing."
He began grooming his fur down to a presentable level, taming his bedhead as he waited for an answer. He watched Sunstar and Hawkpaw as they emerged from their dens, idly pushing away a browning leaf off the edge of his stone. The day seemed enjoyable and peaceful, but he couldn't help the foreboding feeling that was slowly growing deep in his chest that something was stirring up deeper in the valley. Do you have any other characters in the dream? If so, who?
