StormClan has land scattered with ponds and small streams. A major river flows through the territory and its camp is situated on an island in one of these rivers; the second river forms a border with WillowClan. From the most grizzled elder to the youngest kits, StormClan cats are accustomed to water and swimming almost from birth. With the rivers and ponds on its territory always rife with fish, StormClan cats are generally sleek and well-fed. Due to their large water supply and the richness of their territory, they are constantly protecting their borders against rival WillowClan and CloudClan that are attracted to the water source.
Though all four territories have a water source, only StormClan feels at home in the water. They, of all the Clans, are the only cats that are strong swimmers, and are fiercely protective of fish caught in their river. So much so, that they consider fish to be prey exclusive to their Clan. Especially as cats of the other three Clans generally don't bother catching fish, as it is much too difficult for them considering the terrain they inhabit.
StormClan cats mostly survive on a diet of various types of fish, ranging from small minnows, to larger fish such as trout and carp. They may also catch water voles and shrews that make their home along the river bank, as well as sedge warblers ("birds" to the Clan cats).
